Monster Energy Drinks
Energy Drinks of Monster
The line up of monster energy drinks falls short, and contrary to proven consumer buying power, leaves the energy beverage savvy market craving for more. Evidently, we’re supposed to be dazzled by scantily-clad women, emotionally-charged sales copy and the pulling of strings via consumer favorite sports where Monster has a deliberate presence.
Why people buy energy drinks, on the surface is to get more energy – thanks for the insight Dr. Obvious. And that’s what they’ll tell you. But, consumers are fairly dumb; they are under the impression that they control their buying decision.
Monster Energy knows the consumer hot buttons to push, and is winning over a market that is clueless that the energy drink ingredients within are pretty similar from one end of the Monster line to the other. Including, their Java Monster line which one might think promises something new – otherwise why bother with a new line of energy drinks – but instead just offers different flavors for the most part.
The current basic line up, excluding the Java Monster line looks like this: Monster Hitman Energy Shooter, Monster Khaos Energy + Juice, Lo-Carb Monster Energy, Monster M-80 Energy + Juice, Monster MiXXD Energy + Juice, and Monster Assault Energy drinks. Monster Energy, the original, is most abundant and recognizable in a black can with neon green logo on the front.
As you can see, with lots of different names, you’d expect different results, or energy ingredients that were significantly different, right?
The Monster Hitman Energy Shooter is the smallest in size (89 ml) and about a third the size of the regular cans. It has only 30 calories, and one bottle is considered one serving. It has about 3.4 to 40 mg of a mix of individual B vitamins touted for their energy properties, but honestly, although it may seem like a lot on the label, described as 200 percent your daily value, the reality of how B vitamins work in your body, those numbers don’t mean squat to most people who eat a typical American diet.
But, that said, what you will find in the Monster Hitman Energy Shot is double as much of the proprietary Energy Blend that you can buy in the regular beverage. So, for about the same amount of money, sometimes more, you can consume a third as much, but two times the Energy Blend, with main ingredients: L-Carnitine, Caffeine and Guarana.
An obvious attempt to compete with the hugely popular, and in my opinion more effective (plus it is more readily available and often on sale at drug stores – in the diet section), the 5 Hour Energy Shot, the Monster Hitman Energy Shot is o.k., but not great – but if you have money to burn, go wild. One additional advantage of being the more popular 5 Hour Energy Shot, is pricing competition, results in you being able to buy these things in bulk, without have to buy them in wholesale lots, officially.
